He was everything she was not: the perfection amidst her own chaotic tendancies; the calm against her storm; the melodic tune in the most hell raising situation. He completed her. Those months apart, when the Cullens had left Forks, left her, Bella had ceased to live anymore. Her days were long and empty, filld with mere trivialities that only served to take up units of time within the day until the entire process had repeated itself the next day. Never again had the brunette ever considered they would return to the scene and intrude on her life once more in what was perhaps the most auspicious manner possible.
I'm getting married... Though she adored Edward, worshipped him with every fibre of her being, Bella could not prevent the abject fear from coursing through her. Whilst other girls her age would be experiencing life, she was essentially preparing herself for a life close to death. Although vampires were not deceased, the complete adjustment to a new lifestyle and the huge changes required would akin it to such an unchangeable process. Never again would she be able to go out to the cinema with Angela and Jessica, or work at the Newtons alongside Mike and his parents. Forevermore, or at least until she was able to better control her urges, she would be condemned to a life far away from any and all humans. Including Charlie and Renee.
Honestly, it was this more than anything else that rendered her petrified. If she had to, Bella could live without her friends. So long as she had Edward and the other Cullens it would be bearable. But the thought of losing her parents in the exchange was still proving to be the most traumatic part about this. With time, she had overcome doubts on marrying at such a young age. Renee, of course, disliked the idea, though having at least seen her daughter and her fiance together was convinced they at least believed themselves to be content enough, regardless of how their union would end, whilst the last she recalled, Charlie had somewhat altered his approach to suggest they wait a while longer - something Edward would undoubtedly endorse if she didn't put her foot down.
Glancing around, Bella could not help but notice just how beautiful the meadow truly was. Perhaps it was due to associating the place with Edward and the remarkable vision he became once scattering sunlight upon the field. Or even because she found anything relating to Edward Cullen truly stunning. Either way, Bella found her gaze travelling across the cavenous land eagerly as she scoured it for Edward. Graduated now, and unable to spend time with Jacob, the wily teen found herself more and more drawn to spending huge periods of time with the Cullens as a family; truly they were a second family to her and would soon be her whole family, Charlie and Renee swept away and cast asides the moment she was married, pretty much. The transformation would have to take place fairly soon afterwards. Yet it was rare she succeeded in the quest for a day alone with the one vampire she put on a pedastal; the one she would give her life for.
The beautiful creature that had deigned to want to spend the rest of his eternal life with her, the one capable of raising her heartbeat in a mere glance, was currently virtually unseen to the naked eye, though Bella knew he was around somewhere and thus cautiously watched her step.
